After leaving school, I picked up a camera, pursued a curiosity and in that time I have photographed and empowered hundreds of people from every walk of life imaginable, each with their own story to tell.

In 2010, I resigned from a job I hated to pursue a passion and create my dream job. In the November I built a studio in my garden and over the past 8 years, I have become an entirely self-taught photographer and retoucher.

My passion is creating fashion inspired images for all women. It’s more than a photography session; it’s a transformation and celebration of confidence and everything that makes them feel amazing. I love the transformation of a woman from when she walks into the studio without any makeup, watching the self-confidence grow throughout the shoot and to the moment she finally gets to see her images printed and framed.

Most women and men have a misconception that all models possess a level of beauty that is unattainable to most. I have always been fascinated that a model would arrive looking like the girl next door and with the help of a talented makeup and hair stylist, perfect light and flattering posing I could create images that looked like they should be gracing the pages of a Vogue magazine.

In light of this, I set out to change the conversation around beauty and ageing. I believe that every age we pass through has its own beauty and using the same techniques used by fashion magazines like Vogue and GQ I could show men and women, regardless of age and body shape, the best versions of themselves.

As well as shooting portraits, I have photographed HRH Sophie Countess of Wessex, model portfolios and reality TV stars from Love Island, Geordie Shore and Shipwrecked. I have also worked on commercial projects for TUI, Nando’s, UCC, Savile Row Fragrance, fashion brands, cosmetics and other independent stores and boutiques.

I love working with business owners to help create their personal brand. Running a small business myself, I understand the challenges we are faced with on a daily basis. With technology and apps evolving at an ever-growing rate, it can be overwhelming and difficult to keep your brand looking authentic and unique. I work with my clients to tailor their shoot to their personality and their brand; telling their story visually and creating striking images for their marketing and social media.

I’m absolutely obsessed with capturing the beauty in everyone and everything, I truly love what I do and I doubt I’ll ever retire!
