Well, it’s October, the nights are drawing in and it’s almost time to dust off your winter coat, gloves and hat, wrap up warm and head out for some fireworks!
Roman candles, rockets, Catherine wheels, sparklers – whatever your favourite, Bedford has some fab displays this year that will not let you down.
Ever since I have lived in Bedford, I have ventured one way or another to a fireworks display in Bedford, but one of my favourites has to be the Bedford Blues firework display. Why? I hear you ask, well here’s why:
This year, Bedford Blues fireworks are being held on Friday 2nd November, so get it in your diary, and look forward to toffee apples and roasted chestnuts – as well as the fireworks display obviously.
Details for the display are as follows:
Tickets: £5 online (£8 on the day, under 4s free)
Bar opens from 6pm.
Children’s display at 7pm.
Main display at 8pm.
A display I’ve never been too, but which Olly recommended the other day is the Moggerhanger Fireworks Festival. This family-friendly display, although not in the centre of Bedford, promises to be something that everyone can enjoy.
On top of the ‘normal’ fireworks display, there will also be a light show – including circus tricks, drums and a proper fire!
Here are the details for this event on Sunday 4th November:
Gates open at 4.00pm – Live Fire Show at 5.45pm (approx) with Fireworks display following
Family Ticket £22.00 – Single Ticket £6.00
Other fireworks displays in Bedford will, of course, be taking place and we’d love to hear about them – so if you think that is something we could feature – please let us know!
