What looks like a cafe and shop from the outside, is actually a wide range of independent shops and local businesses – welcome to the new St Cuthbert’s Arcade – Bedford’s very own Tardis!
We are suckers for Vanilla Tree here at Bedford Buzz and when we glared out of the window recently and saw the St Cuthbert’s Arcade, we decided enough is enough – we’re going in!
What we thought was a small front, turned into a fabulous array of shops and local businesses, ranging from furniture made from local Bedfordshire wood to a second-hand kids clothing store (genius!) to name a couple.
The special thing about this arcade? It’s giving new startups a great chance to get going. There’s no huge commitment to rent a space if you want to give your business idea a go, you can, without having to sign a 3-year lease. This means you’ll find some great businesses in there and here at Bedford Buzz, we love to support them!
In the coming weeks and months, we will be posting about some of our favourite new businesses and these will definitely feature!
St Cuthbert’s Arcade is a great idea and hopefully, it will be a successful one.
